Exploiting the Activity of SYNS GDF5 mutants for the Repair of Large Bone Defects.
Role Description: The goal of this project is to determine whether GDF5 variants found to be associated with multiple synostoses syndrome (SYNS) can be exploited to enhance chondrogenesis and endochondral bone formation. Lentiviral delivery of promising GDF variants will be tested in the rat critical-sized bone defect model.
