Overview Dr. Rachael Freeze-Ramsey graduated cum laude from Hendrix College in 2001. She then attended medical school at University of Arkansas for Medical Sciences where she graduated AOA in 2005. She completed her residency at UAMS and served as chief resident during her final year. She then divided her time between UAMS and Conway Regional Medical Center before joining UAMS full time in 2009. She previously served as the Senior Medical Student Clerkship Director and the Assistant Residency Program Director. She also served as the Co-Course Director for the Practice of Medicine I Course from 2014-2020. Currently she serves as the Associate Residency Program Director. In 2013 she received the Robert A. Fisher Excellence in Teaching award. In 2014, 2016, 2018, 2019, 2020, and 2023 she received the Red Sash Teaching Award from the College of Medicine. She is a member of SAEM, ACEP, and CORD. Her interests include stroke, resident and medical student education, and medical student advising.
