The goal of this project is to study the mechanism by which senescence of osteoblast progenitors cells contribute to skeletal aging and bone loss and to examine the contribution of p53, p21 activation in osteoprogenitors and up-regulation of Gata4 senescent osteocytes in age induced bone resorption in trabecular and cortical bone, respectively.
