    Dr. Sylvia Santos-Ocampo Angtuaco is an Associate Professor for Pediatric Cardiology at the University of Arkansas for Medical Sciences (UAMS) at Arkansas Children's Hospital. Dr. Angtuaco came to the United States from Manila, Philippines in 1985 to pursue her Medical Doctorate at Brown University Program in Medicine in Rhode Island. She completed her residency in Pediattrics through Yale University, Yale-New Haven Hospital. She followed with a Fellowship in Pediatric Cardiology at Washington University School of Medicine at St. Louis Children's Hospital and a Senior Fellowship in Pediatric Cardiology at The Children's Hospital, Boston, Massachusetts. Dr. Angtuaco came to UAMS/ACH in 1996 to continue her career in Pediatric Cardiology. She is board certified with the American Board of Pediatrics, as well as the Sub-board of Pediatric Cardiology with the American Board of Pediatrics, and the National Board of Medical Examiners. Some of her professional memberships include the American Society of Echocardiography, the American Heart Association, the American College of Cardiology and Sigma Xi Scientific Research Society. Some of the UAMS College of Medicine faculty members provide pediatric patient care at Arkansas Children's Hospital. In addition, a wide range of pediatric services are provided in more than 35 subspecialties around Arkansas in locations such as the Schmieding Developmental Center in Springdale and the James L.
