He was also associated with Non-profit Research Organization for several years in different research & administrative positions (Senior Scientist, Principal Scientist & Head of the Division) leading a large group of research scientists, team members, technical and non-technical teams. He has developed several bio-based technologies and obtained patents, research grants related to bioenergy, food and nutrition. Dr. Adepu has immense experience serving as Principal Investigator and Co-Principal Investigator in multiple research grants funded by the Indian Department of Biotechnology, the Indian Department of Science and Technology and Indian Council of Scientific Agricultural Research (ICAR) which are equivalent to the US funding agencies National Institute of Health (NIH), National Science Foundation (NSF), and United States Department of Agriculture (USDA). Since 2019, Dr. Adepu is recognized as one of the "Top 2% Worlds Most Influential Researchers" in the field of Biotechnology.
