Subodh Devabhaktuni, M.D., is assistant professor of medicine and associate program director of director of cardiology fellowship program at the University of Arkansas for Medical Sciences (UAMS). He graduated from Guntur Medical College in Guntur, India, and trained in cardiology at University of Nevada School of Medicine and in clinical cardiac electrophysiology at Indiana University.
Dr Devabhaktuni specializes in treatment of heart rhythm disorders. He treats disorders like atrial fibrillation, supraventricular tachycardia, ventricular tachycardia with medications and catheter ablation, implants pacemakers and defibrillators. Catheter ablation is a procedure to fix abnormal heart rhythm problems in a minimally invasive way. His areas of interest include novel physiologic pacing techniques like conduction system pacing, leadless pacing, comprehensive care of atrial fibrillation with multidisciplinary approach and stroke prevention strategies in atrial fibrillation. He published several articles on these topics. He serves on the editorial boards of Journal of Clinical Cardiology and Cardiovascular Therapy, Cardiology Cases and Systematic Reviews and the Journal of Innovations in Cardiac Rhythm Management. He serves as a reviewer for multiple journals including Heart Rhythm Case Reports and the Journal of Innovations in Cardiac Rhythm Management.
Dr Devabhaktuni is board certified in internal medicine, cardiovascular diseases and clinical cardiac electrophysiology. He is a fellow of the American College of Cardiology and Heart Rhythm Society.
