overview Glenn Mesman, PhD is a licensed clinical psychologist and an Associate Professor in the UAMS Department of Psychiatry who specializes in evidence-based mental health services for young children who have experienced trauma. He is nationally-certified to provide several evidence-based trauma mental health treatments for children and families and co-directs the Complex Trauma Assessment Program, which provides trauma-informed evaluation services for high-risk children in the Arkansas child welfare system. He is a within-agency trainer for Parent-Child Interaction Therapy (PCIT) and DC:0-5 state trainer. Dr. Mesman also is the assistant training director of the department’s psychology training programs and participates in Arkansas Building Effective Services for Trauma (ARBEST), a program sponsored by the state legislature to improve outcomes of traumatized children throughout the state of Arkansas.
