overview Dr. Steliga specializes in thoracic oncology with an emphasis on lung cancer, esophageal cancer and other tumors of the chest and is experienced in minimally invasive thoracic surgery. He previously served as an instructor in the Department of Thoracic and Cardiovascular Surgery at MD Anderson Cancer Center in Houston. A graduate of the Medical College of Wisconsin in Milwaukee, Steliga completed his residency in Surgery at the University of Tennessee in Memphis, Tenn. He also served as a resident in Cardiothoracic surgery at the Texas Heart Institute in Houston. He is board certified by both the American Board of Surgery and the American Board of Thoracic Surgery, a fellow of the American College of Surgeons, a member of the International Association for the Study of Lung Cancer, and a member of the Society of Thoracic Surgeons.
