outreach overview I have trained how to implant ICD's to 3 Interventional Cardiologists from Pine Bluff, AR, in 2010, and they have been referring all of their EP patients to me over the last 11 years. I have visited many centers, gave talks and met with many cardiologists in Arkansas, such as Pine Bluff, Mountain View, Forth Smith, Batesville, Fayetteville, and Jacksonville; Memphis, TN and Shreveport, Louisiana over the last 12 years to advertise Heart Rhythm Services at UAMS and increase referrals to both UAMS and CAVHS. I get on TV with a patient story during the Heart Awareness Month of February, since 2011.

research overview 12 YEARS OF ELECTROPHYSIOLOGY RESEARCH AT UAMS I have had 60 of my 69 peer reviewed publications, with the guidance of Dr. Jay Mehta and contributions of many faculty, fellows, residents and medical students. As a result of this teamwork, we have been honored to receive the Dr. James Marsh Research Award in 2021. Our two main manuscripts were database driven large population studies that were published in Circulation. However, we have also published many purely UAMS patient database driven studies. Our recently published case report in JAMA has paved the way for our study titled: “The Sensitivity of Graphic Trends in Differentiating Sinus and Supraventricular Tachycardia”, which will be published in the Journal of Electrocardiology. The future of our Electrophysiology research efforts at UAMS will utilize Artificial Intelligence to guide us place the left ventricular lead to the best spot in the heart in our NIH sponsored study.
