overview Dr. Stacie M. Jones, M.D. is a Professor of Pediatrics and Chief of Allergy and Immunology at the University of Arkansas for Medical Sciences and Arkansas Children's Hospital. Dr. Jones is also a researcher at the Arkansas Children's Hospital Research Institute. Dr. Jones received her medical degree in 1989 from the University of Arkansas for Medical Science and completed her Pediatrics residency at the University of Arkansas for Medical Sciences and Arkansas Children's Hospital in 1992. She completed Allergy and Immunology Fellowship training at Johns Hopkins Hospital in Baltimore, Maryland. She joined the faculty of UAMS in 1994. Dr. Jones treats patients with allergic and immunologic disorders including asthma, food allergy, atopic dermatitis, allergic rhinitis, drug allergy, eosinophilic esophagitis, and primary immunodeficiency. Her research focuses on both clinical and translational investigation of food allergy and eosinophilic gastrointestinal disorders, in particular in finding new therapies and improving understanding of disease. Dr. Jones also has a long-standing research interest in asthma and lung disease. Dr. Jones is a member of many professional societies including the American Academy of Pediatrics, Pediatric Academic Society, American Academy of Allergy, Asthma and Immunology and the American Thoracic Society and serves on the medical advisory board of the Food Allergy Research and Education organization. She has published multiple scientific manuscripts, review articles and book chapters and enthusiastically contributes to the education of residents and medical students at UAMS.
