Circulating Tumor Cell
|
overview
|
My career has been focusing on the health-oriented research in fields of cancer, single circulating cell analysis and lymphology. However, I also pioneered bioengineering approaches (e.g., photoswitchable flow cytometry in vivo) and novel contrast agents (e.g., bioinspired and natural magnetic nanoparticles as photoacoustic contrast agents). My educational background in medicine and interdisciplinary expertise in experimental medicine, single cell analysis, optical imaging, photoacoustics, biomedical applications of lasers and nanoparticles makes it possible for me to find creative and, sometimes, non-traditional solutions of challenging biomedical and technical problems. I am proficient in the advanced using of modern technologies for development of novel directions, tests and assays to improve diagnosis and therapy of human diseases.

Leader of current projects:
1. Lymph liquid biopsy of central and peripheral lymph for single cell analysis in cancer
2. Interaction of lymphatic endothelial cells with nanoparticles
Implementation of Project #1: we (i) received exciting lymphatic results that demonstrated novel lymphatic pathway of early metastasis. (Cytometry A. 2020 and Cancers 2020 Oct 5, 12 (10): E2866); and (ii) PhD student, M. Han (Galanzha - major advisor), defensed the PhD thesis.
Implementation of project #2: 2 manuscripts are under preparation.
