overview Amy M. Scurlock, M.D. is an Associate Professor of Pediatrics at the University of Arkansas for Medical Sciences and Arkansas Children's Hospital. Dr. Scurlock is also a researcher at Arkansas Children's Hospital Research Institute. Dr. Scurlock received her M.D. in 1998 from the University of Arkansas for Medical Sciences. She completed a residency in Pediatrics at UAMS/ACH in 2001 and served as Chief Resident until 2002. She completed her Allergy-Immunology Fellowship Training at Duke University Medical Center in Durham North Carolina in 2004. Dr. Scurlock joined the UAMS faculty in August 2004 as a member of the Division of Pediatric Allergy/Immunology within the Department of Pediatrics. Dr. Scurlock's clinical interests include allergic and immunologic diseases such as food allergy, atopic dermatitis, eosinophilic esophagitis and primary immunodeficiency. She also has interest in newborn screening and long-term follow-up for infants with SCID and T-cell lymphopenia. Her research interests are focused on evaluation of mucosal immune responses in models of food allergy and eosinophilic gastrointestinal disorders. Dr. Scurlock is a member of the American Academy of Allergy Asthma and Immunology (AAAAI), Society for Mucosal Immunology, Society for Pediatric Research, Clinical Immunology Society, and American Academy of Pediatrics. She is board certified in both Pediatrics and Allergy-Immunology. Some of the UAMS College of Medicine faculty members provide pediatric patient care at Arkansas Children's Hospital. In addition, a wide range of pediatric services are provided in more than 35 subspecialties around Arkansas in locations such as the Schmieding Developmental Center in Springdale and the James L.
