This grant acts as a supplement to the ongoing CKD-Platelet trial. We are measuring levels of antiplatelet drugs and uremic toxins using mass spectrometry; and, compare them between the CKD and the non-CKD groups. My goal is to investigate mechanisms of higher stroke rates in CKD patients vs. non-CKD controls despite receiving antiplatelet therapy.
