The goal of this study is to translation of lab-grown robust high oil-yielding microalga from indoor bench-scale to outdoor pilot-scale mass production in diary industrial effluent in a zero-waste circular economy. Major outcomes of the project were extraction of microalgal oil for renewable fuels, generation of irrigation acceptable water, recycle and reuse of microalgal-treated dairy effluent, and utilization of microalga as aqua-feed supplement.
