Dr. Veronica Pinto Miranda is a geriatrician and palliative care physician who sees patients in the Thomas and Lyon Longevity Clinic at the Donald W. Reynolds Institute on Aging at the University of Arkansas for Medical Sciences (UAMS). She works in clinic and also sees patients on inpatient geriatric consult service and inpatient palliative care consult service. Her faculty appointment is at the UAMS College of Medicine, UAMS as Assistant Professor at the Reynolds Department of Geriatrics, and her secondary appointment is at the Department of Medicine, Division of Palliative Care. Her major clinical interests include improving primary care for seniors, taking into account their values and preferences of care. She is actively involved as a clinical preceptor for trainees (medical students, physician assistant students, internal medicine and family practice residents, and geriatric fellows).
