Overview Dr. Felicia D. Allard is certified in Anatomic and Clinical Pathology as well as Cytopathology by the American Board of Pathology and has subspecialty expertise in gastrointestinal and hepatobiliary Pathology. Dr. Allard earned her Medical Degree from the University of Colorado in Denver (2009) and she did her residency in Anatomic and Clinical Pathology (2014) and a fellowship in Gastrointestinal & Hepatobiliary Pathology (2015) at Beth Israel Deaconess Medical Center, Harvard Medical School. She subsequently completed a second fellowship in Cytopathology at the University of Virginia (2016).
Clinically at UAMS, Dr. Allard is actively involved in the cytopathology, gastrointestinal, liver and autopsy pathology services. She also provides gastrointestinal pathology services for Arkansas Children’s Hospital. Additionally, Dr. Allard serves as the Fellowship Director for the Cytopathology fellowship and as Director of Sub-Fellowship Elective Rotation within the Department of Pathology at the University of Arkansas. She also serves as a member of the Protocol Review and Monitoring Committee for the Winthrop P. Rockefeller Cancer Institute at the University of Arkansas for Medical Sciences.
On the national level, Dr. Allard is currently a member of the Education Committees for both the Roger C. Haggitt Gastrointestinal Pathology Society and the Pancreatobiliary Pathology Society. She sits on the editorial board of the American Journal of Clinical Pathology and serves as an ad hoc reviewer for several other medical journals. She has served in the past as a member of the Scientific Program Committee for the American Society of Cytopathology. She is also actively involved in clinical research with special interests in gastrointestinal, pancreatic and liver diseases and has co-authored more than 20 peer reviewed publications.
