Overview A tenured Professor with 20+ years of reference and expert searching experience, Susan is the Head of Education & Research Services at the UAMS Library. On the UAMS campus, Susan works with many UAMS committees and groups including IACUC, ANGELS, and the Surgical Education Research Working Group (SERWG).
Susan is active with the Medical Library Association and is currently a member of the MLA National Program Committee for the 2018 Atlanta conference. At the regional level, she has served on many committees and held various elected offices with the South Central Chapter of MLA (SCC/MLA) including serving as President in 2013. In 2015 she received SCC/MLA’s highest honor, the Distinguished Service Award.
In 2016, Susan was awarded an Association of Academic Health Sciences Libraries (AAHSL) scholarship to attend the Harvard Leadership Institute for Academic Librarians.
