    Daniel Knight, M.D., is the former Chairman for the Department of Family and Preventive Medicine, and is also a professor on the faculty of the University of Arkansas for Medical Sciences College of Medicine. Currently, he serves as Associate Program Director of the Baptist-UAMS Family Medicine Residency Program in North Little Rock, AR. He previously served as Residency Program Director of the UAMS Little Rock Family Medicine Residency in the department from 1999 – 2009 and 2012-13. Dr. Knight earned his medical degree at UAMS and also completed his residency there, within the Department of Family and Preventive Medicine. He is a diplomate of the American Board of Family Practice and was previously President of the AR Academy of Family Physicians and serves on the Academy Board as Delegate to the AAFP Congress of Delegates. Dr. Knight is a fellow of both the National Institute for Program Director Development and the American Academy of Family Physicians. He is a member of the Society of Teachers of Family Medicine, the American Association of Family Physicians, and the Arkansas Academy of Family Physicians.
