    As a clinical educator, my focus is on expanding knowledge of mental illness, including substance use disorders and chronic pain, during the perinatal period among health care professionals. My research topics of interest include chronic pain and substance use disorders during pregnancy and the postpartum period with an emphasis on multi-departmental and multi-institutional collaborations.

    As an attending physician in the Departments of Psychiatry and Ob-Gyn, I regularly participate in the bedside teaching of medical students as well as residents and fellows in Psychiatry and Ob-Gyn, such as maternal fetal medicine fellows. Additionally, I am the program director of the Addiction Medicine Fellowship at UAMS.
