    Joy R. Pemberton, Ph.D., is a Licensed Psychologist and Assistant Professor in the Department of Psychiatry, College of Medicine, University of Arkansas for Medical Sciences (UAMS). Her areas of expertise include assessment and treatment of children and adolescents with a history of trauma and/or behavior problems, parenting interventions, and dissemination of evidence-based practices. She earned her doctorate in clinical psychology from Texas Tech University, completed internship at UAMS, and completed a postdoctoral fellowship at the Central Arkansas Veterans Healthcare System. She returned to UAMS in 2012 to participate in research and clinical work related to the dissemination of evidence-based treatments for children experiencing behavior problems and/or trauma.
