Overview Allison Shaw-Devine, M.D., is an assistant professor in the College of Medicine's Division of Cardiovascular Medicine. Dr. Shaw-Devine has an extensive background at UAMS. She graduated from medical school from UAMS and completed a residency in Internal Medicine as well. Following completion of residency, she served as chief resident. She then became a fellow in the division of cardiology here at UAMS and completed the three year program before entering private practice. In private practice, she became a member of a local group practice initially before venturing into solo practice at Arkansas Cardiac Care where she served as medical director and practitioner. Dr. Shaw-Devine is a former board member and president of the American Heart Association's central Arkansas affiliate and has served as the organization's co-chair of the Go Red for Women drive. She currently works as a general cardiologist in the division of cardiology here at UAMS where her practice involves the diagnosis and care of patients with a wide range of cardiovascular diseases. In her work, she also interacts/teaches fellows in training in cardiovascular disease, residents and medical students here at the university.
