    Dr. Carrillo is a board-certified pathologist with subspecialty in Hematopathology. He is an Assistant Professor and Director of Hematology at The University of Arkansas for Medical Sciences (UAMS). Dr. Carrillo received his medical degree from the Universidad Catolica de Santa Maria in Arequipa, Peru. He completed his residency in anatomic and clinical pathology (AP/CP) and fellowship in hematopathology at the Medical College of Wisconsin and Affiliated Hospitals in Milwaukee, WI. In addition to his clinical duties Dr. Carrillo has a strong interest in medical education, which includes teaching medical students, residents, and fellows. His academic interests include flow cytometry, myeloid neoplasms, and cutaneous lymphomas.
