    Nadia has 25+ years of library experience with a focus on scholarly communication, information access, academic resource development and assessment, and student learning behaviours. She is a recognized expert in the strategic management of academic health sciences digital and print collections and a strong advocate of student services.

    In her current position, Nadia provides strategic and executive leadership for planning, policy development, and implementation and evaluation of operations, services, and resources in Library and Student Services. Her prior experience includes

    • Administrative and fiscal responsibility for multi-million dollar library collection budget; strategic long-range collection plans; projected collection trends and needs
    • Planning, coordinating, and executing the relocation of library services and 457,000+ print volumes during $55M building renovation.
    • Selections/acquisitions experience in arts and humanities, social sciences, biosciences, and business.
    • Consultant on scholarly communications, digital rights management, open access resources, and copyright
    • Development of iOS and Android mobile apps on health literacy
    • Leadership, creative content, and development and assessment of learning objects using instructional, emerging, and enabling technologies
    • Recruitment, development, and leadership of multiple programs for student and adult learners from diverse backgrounds

    Nadia proactively shares her experiences and knowledge in professional forums including trade and peer-reviewed publications; presentations, papers, and posters at national and international library and conferences; national committee, mentoring and consulting activities.

    Her research interests include evolving health sciences collection development, accessibility of information by under-served populations, trends in scholarly publishing delivery, and retention of female minority academic library directors in the profession.
