    Gregory Hall, M.D. was born in Texarkana, TX but grew up most of his life in Garland, TX a suburb of Dallas. He attended Austin College in Sherman, TX graduating with honors in 1985 with a B.A. in Chemistry. He attended medical school at UT Southwestern where he was elected to Alpha Omega Alpha honor medical society and graduated there in 1989. He initially started a residency in Orthopedic Surgery but after 2 years changed his mind about his career path and switched to Emergency Medicine, completing his residency at the University of Mississippi Medical Center in Jackson, MS in 1994. After completing his residency, Dr. Hall joined the faculty in the Dept. of Emergency Medicine at UAMS. His current main interest is in the quality improvement process as it pertains to emergency department practice. He also has a long held interest in the areas of toxicology including snakebites and infectious diseases, and tick borne infections in particular. Dr. Hall was one of the original faculty to introduce ultrasound into clinical use in the UAMS Emergency Dept.. He also serves as the medical director for the EMS/Paramedic program in the College of Allied Health Professions at UAMS. Dr Hall has been the recipient of the UAMS Red Sash award from the medical student class in 2000 and has also been awarded the UAMS EM Robert Fisher award for outstanding clinical teacher in 1996 and again in 2001. Dr. Hall has had a long commitment to UAMS and twice has served as the interim chairman of the department during transition periods between permanent chairs.
