Overview Dr. Casey Smolarz grew up in Texarkana, TX. In 2003, after graduating from Rhodes College in Memphis, TN, he went on to attend medical school at the University of Texas Medical Branch in Galveston, TX. He completed his Emergency Medicine residency training at UAMS and after completion in 2010, stayed on as full time staff in his current role as Assistant Professor.He is a faculty preceptor to 2nd year medical students in their Introduction to Clinical Medicine class, as well as Practice of Medicine small group facilitator for first year medical students. Dr. Smolarz serves as an active member on the Trauma Operational Committee and the department's Clinical Competency Committee. He is an active member of ACEP, SAEM, AMA, and Arkansas Medical Association.
