Overview Scott Dickson, M.D., attended Arkansas State University in Jonesboro and graduated with a Bachelor of Science in Zoology in 1994. He then attended the University of Arkansas for Medical Sciences and received his medical degree in 1998. Dr. Dickson completed his internship and residency training at the UAMS AHEC Northeast Family Medicine Residency Program in 2001. He then joined the faculty at AHEC Northeast. He became the Residency Director for the AHEC Northeast Program in August 2009. Dr. Dickson has served as Chief of the Department of Family Medicine at St. Bernards Medical Center from 2007 to 2009, and served on a number of other committees at St. Bernards including Medical Executive Committee, Quality Assessment and Improvement Committee, Hospice Advisory Board and the Ethics Committee. He has also served on the Board of Directors for the Arkansas Academy of Family Physicians and the Jonesboro Church Health Clinic. He is married to Heather Dickson, PharmD and is a Jonesboro native. In his spare time, he enjoys swimming, snow skiing, reading and spending time with family and friends.
